HIGHLIGHTS
Grenade towers with splash damage and a new Terrain are the major highlight of this build along with a healthy dose of polish, QOL improvements and various under the hood changes. Towers now have to be aligned with their target before they can fire and bullets no longer disappear when their target dies- they will continue to travel in their last trajectory until they either hit a wall or another enemy. A handful of new animations have been added to various game objects to add interest along with idle animations on towers. Various QOL changes have been made, including the ability to see if you can afford a tower from the tower menu and improvements to the camera controller. Bullet and tower behavior have been reworked to ensure more consistency (and improved performance). Many effects have been reworked (particularly on the desktop builds) and real-time lighting has been added (along with tower lamps which activate when towers are placed near them). There has been a major balance overhaul with most towers being affected (as well as enemy HP ramp up). The goal with the balancing was to make the starting rounds a bit easier, and to ramp up the difficulty more quickly. This should allow players a bit more flexibility in terms of starting builds, and should enable them to test out their tower strategy at a quicker pace. Another leader board reset has occurred due to the changes and players will no longer be able to submit scores on non-current versions.
