Fixed AI Movement: Enemies now properly approach and engage the player. Previously, they’d rotate in place.
Fixed Death Logic: Enemies no longer vanish when their health hits zero — death animations now play out thoroughly before despawning.
Gamepad Support: Controller mappings are now recognized and functional.
Menu UI: UI elements now behave correctly when navigating menus with a controller or keyboard.
Stamina Bar Hidden: Temporarily disabled from the HUD until stamina mechanics are fully implemented.
We’re laying the groundwork for more immersive combat. Here’s what’s next:
Combat Animation Polish: Sharpening timing and transitions to improve flow and impact.
Attack Shake Effect: Adding subtle camera shake or hit reactions for punchier combat.
AI Distance Rebalancing: Enemies will maintain smarter spacing — close enough to threaten, but not crowd the player.
Character Select Screen: You’ll soon be able to choose your fighter.
Pause Menu: Add pause functionality mid-fight.
Quit to Main Menu: Ensure you can exit to the title screen from any point in-game.
Ragdoll Effects: Implement ragdoll physics when enemies die for more realistic (and satisfying) knockouts.
