Hello friends, following along with the devlog, its been a while since I wrote one of these, which means cool stuff has happened, yaaaaaaay!!!!!! Please Indulge us in the changes we've made to Haunted Motherflipping Havoc™.
*haunted havoc is in no way actually trademarked, the tm is solely intended as a joke, pls dont sue us
That's right we attended a playtest, thanks to the lovely fellers over at Meet ’n Play we were able to attend a playtest and got feedback from industry professionals. With this newfound knowledge we'll be truly unstoppable !!!!!!
Our artist cooked up a beautiful ground material, this make the map feel so much more cohesive and adds a lot to the experience, truly stunning stuff
Over these last 3 weeks our artist were hard at work, making the map look better and just take a gander at the amazing work they have done on the lighting and foliage, its starting to feel spooky up in here.
Some additional gravestones were made to eventually add to the map, this will make the scene look a lot more lively
The aiming arrow is now fully implemented, which means you can now actually see where you're aiming, this is truly a huge milestone.
Another lovely feature that got added is enemy AI, our enemies now move around as you're trying to catch em, this will make catching those pesky ghost a HELL of a lot harder.......saw what I did there....hell of a lot.....because ghost are supposed to....go to the.... afterlife....yeah I don't know thought it was kinda clever ANYWAYS here is a video showing the enemy AI in action!!!!!!
Thanks to our amazing programmers the camera now zooms in after a while, this makes it so the players are forced to play aggressive and makes the game a lot more intense.
A lot of general sound effects were added and in function of not making this devlog too long i will just sum them up here real quick
That's right we have a dynamic music system now, what does this mean, well glad you asked (I don't care if you didn't, I'm explaining this anyways, ITS COOL STUFF I SWEAR) as the game progresses, as ghost are shot and players are hit, gradually more and more instruments will be added to the music, at first its just strings but then the accordion kicks in and then eventually the percussion does. Its cool stuff and makes the game feel like there's stakes.
Alright friends, that wraps up another amazing devlog by yours truly, i hope you enjoyed our progress and i hope you're back next week for more SEEYA THEEEEEEN!!!!!!!!!!!!
