In light of the beta test there's still much to be done on spellbinder. We were happy to see the games idea finally come to light in the test but it's far from finished. There are several bugs to be worked on and balance/QOL improvements to be made.
As far as programming goes there are two major bugs that have our attention.
These bugs are going to be looked at and worked on in the unity scene and in the code in order to be solved.
after the bugs are fixed the next action for the programmers is to improve the feel of casting spells and add a few more to create a truly diverse experience, as well as introduce some new enemy AI for the player to fight.
The artists also still have work to be done as we realized there's not much variety between rooms in the game. We've decided to work on creating more enemy variety and environmental assets to combat this. Both artists will be working on modeling and texturing new buildings and structures as well as a big boss fight at the end to breathe some new life into the world of spellbinder.
Along with new spells comes new, original SFX for them which our sound designer will be producing for us. unfortunately they also have some bugs to fix of their own in regards to volume control in the pause menu.
The game is still very messy and needs a lot of tidy up on the back end, something the players wont notice directly notice but optimization has never hurt anyone, and as we continue to expand and grow the world of spellbinder those small clean ups start to count.
After all the above is done we hope to have spellbinder ready for the public in about 30 days with some time for last minute bug fixes. The game is looking right on track to be finished without delays and we're excited to bring it up to it's full potential and let you, the players experience it.
