This may be the last real update before the end of the gamejam.
The levels are successfully split into 7, and the "story" has expanded to accomodate! If I had the time I would have programmed scene changes and... actual cutscenes or dialogue instead of background images, but I don't even know how to approach that and it is more or less done now.
THINGS I NEED TO DO: Add a function to actually pause/quit that doesn't just crash everything would probably be good. DON'T PAUSE THE GAME IT STILL DOESN'T WORK
Adding a method to trigger music would be cool? Eli made some neat music but I can't trigger it without somehow breaking everything.
THINGS UDPATED:
-There are 7 levels, more evenly split and building in difficulty.
-Controllers can be used now! Except really only joysticks because Unity seems to have a hard time recognizing directional pads.
-A LOT of hitboxes got fixed up and almost to where I want them, at least with the shoddy colliders I had put in.
-Added a few new enemies, some credits, etc. The game has an "end" but... I still can't actually EXIT the game so does it truly end??
-Removed a lot of clutter but the game still runs wonky sometimes, especially at lower framerates
