Devlog - Week 9 & 10 - ARTEFACTS & FIXES (v0.21)

Hey everyone! A lot has happened over the past two weeks, and we're excited to share the latest news with you!

🎉 Brackeys Game Jam 2025 results: 5 min without TV ! placed 31st out of 2200 participants our best ranking ever! (Top 6 in fun and Top 17 in visuals)

Major Additions

🎬 First official trailer for Biriyado + new screenshots for the game page. 

 Added a "Well Done!" animation when reaching the target score.

🔄 Reworked 3 artifacts:

• Strike 🎳: If all balls collide at least once during a shot, x1.5 multiplier (now permanent).
• Bomb 💥: When a ball scores, the player’s ball creates a shockwave, with size based on the player ball.
• Cabbage 🥬: +20 points when the player ball enters a hole.
• Mine ❌: Temporarily removed from the shop.

✨ Added 5 new artifacts:

• Rebirth 🔄: x1.1 multiplier when a ball respawns.
• Strength 💪: The cue hits the player’s ball much harder.
• The Sun ☀️: Starting holes disappear from the board.
• Black Hole 🕳️: Creates a massive hole in the center of the board.
• Aim Assist 🎯: The player’s ball slightly auto-aligns towards the nearest ball.

🛠️ Bug Fixes & Balancing

✔️ Lowered the price of the CHEAP artifact. 

 ✔️ Nerfed the INVESTMENT artifact: The multiplier is now halved. 

 ✔️ Fixed reroll cost in the tutorial (now correctly set to $3). 

 ✔️ Fixed typos in the game (tutorial, descriptions, etc.). 

 ✔️ Fixed endgame ranking display (was showing incorrect scores). 

 ✔️ Adjusted money color for better readability.

🧩 Minor Additions & Improvements

• 🔄 Balls are now replaced with icons in descriptions.
• 📜 Leaderboard now allows only one entry per name (RIP Kiki and Paul).
• 🔗 Added Discord link directly in the game menu.
