The total amount of cards played per round has been reduced.
In the prior version, each player had to play 5 cards to resolve one challenge. With 4 players this meant 25 cards were played but the draw deck’s remaining cards totalled 20. So, players would always end up with less than 5 cards in their hand. Additionally, tracking the advancement of rounds was cumbersome and could be streamlined.
Thus, challenges now resolve whenever the draw deck is exhausted, if not resolved through the challenge itself. But this doesn’t actually affect the total number of cards played across the game which remains at 100 without challenges. But if there is an issue then a compromise will be found. (The text regarding missing cards from the players hand is still present on specific challenges if this does still occur for unexpected reasons or if a custom challenge/house rule causes it.)
Round tracker changes
The round tracker is now also only 1 five card instead of all 4. Now whenever the draw deck is exhausted, the active challenge resolves, hands are reshuffled and the round counter increases by 1. Instead of advancing every 5 cards discarded and resolving the active challenge at the end of 5 advances. This is still the same 20 cards being played with 4 players playing 5 cards each. This simplifies round tracking and hand management significantly without affecting the game’s balance.

Now accommodates new simplified round tracker.
How to play 2 card
Now accommodates new simplified round tracker.
Winning and losing card
Now specifies winning only occurs when only the final round counter is uncovered.
This is to prevent ‘suicide’ victories, which would have been a cool strategy that I did try and prevent, but it seems to occur more accidentally than intentionally and acts as a knowledge check for newer players. So its been explicitly removed.
Now also changed to accommodate the new simplified round tracker.
Glossary 2 card
‘Resolve’ text expanded for clarity on when a challenge resolves.
‘Round tracker’ entry changed to mirror its new use.
Rotation indicator
Removed. Since round tracking is way easier, its being removed.
But it did get some text changes for clarity.
