Brachistochrone Trajectories
- A "turn and burn" maneuver with three distinct phases:
- Acceleration Phase (Blue): Ship accelerates along initial direction with constant thrust
- Flip/Coast Phase (Yellow): Ship maintains velocity while performing a 180° rotation to prepare for deceleration
- Deceleration Phase (Red): Ship uses its engines to slow down and stop precisely at the destination
- The trajectory calculation uses real physics principles:
- Constant acceleration based on the ship's thrust-to-mass ratio
- Conservation of momentum during the coasting phase
