Pre-Alpha Build Released!
Hello everyone!
We are happy to announce that our Pre-Alpha Build has been released! This has a lot of changes and updates since our last build including:
- 2 more levels (Tutorial, Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3) with unique soundtracks
- Environment implementation - no more grey walls!
- Flowing animations and transitions for each of the weapons!
- Settings screen with working audio sliders
- Screen VFX when taking chunks of sanity damage
- And lots of gameplay tweaks!
We also have a list of known issues:
Gameplay
- Section of the tutorial can be skipped if a certain target is not destroyed (the specific memory target zoomed in on during the pop-up)
- Large collision boxes around vein pillars obstructing some player movement and bullet trajectories. Also, the dip in the floor in the hub doesn’t exist in collision either.
- Lower targets in the final level are impossible to hit due to bullets colliding with the barrier keeping the player from going over the edge
- We suspect this is also causing an issue with the snipping weapon failing to cut targets in the final level
- Tutorial pop-ups being a LMB to move on is a recipe for people skipping through the tutorial unintentionally
- When zooming in to a target, sometimes the camera whips towards a target that doesn’t exist and leave the player facing the hub
- Can get softlocked when you start a level if you walk back into the hub before the door closes (will need to die or restart)
- Sign targets can freak out when deactivated after a level
- Sanity depletion is a little too fast, and memory targets / tracking targets inflict too much damage on it
Graphics
- UI looks disjointed with clashing styles
- Rarely getting stuck in a Calm Animation loop if it is playing when the game pauses
- Floor texture warping in the final level (balcony)
- Bullets not lined up to the animations.
We will continue to make tweaks, but any feedback is massively appreciated! Please use this form: https://forms.office.com/e/X5qfvKcK3t . No questions are mandatory, but the more you answer, the more it helps us out! And please share your thoughts with us on our itch page!
