Done
- Added basic effects for player an enemy damage to help with feedback and immersion
- Synchronized events to rhythm and beat of the music
- Implemented movement of enemies to keep dodging dynamic
- Implemeted controller and keyboard support
- Created art for title screen
- Added combos and adjusted rhythms to match this new mechanic
New Decisions
Based on feedback from TA playtesting session and further discussion we have decided to:
- Add a bossfight at the end of a level to make end of level clear and break monotony
- Add more obstacles and features to the environment to make it more organic and less hypnotic
- Add a tutorial to make gameplay clear
- Change some assets to make arrows easier to see/read
- Update assets for environment to make arteries more visually appealing
- Randomize enemy spawning to make gameplay longer
Todo
Based on discussion and feedback from TA:
- Add tutorial
- Finish E2E flow (inculding start/pause/restart screen)
- Randomize enemy spawning
- Create art assets for items discussed above, and the emotion meter (health bar)
