v1.7.0-alpha-shareware - Tutorial levels update and general fixes
We are back and with an update!
CONTEXT:
In this update, we fix a few issues related to game play bugs, behaviour issues with Chomp, fixing the pause screen bug and making the first few levels easier for the player as it seems a bit slow paced for some. We will be monitoring what people think about the tweaks we have made to levels 1-3 as we have removed some bread blocks to create additional paths for the player to access. The levels will become slightly more difficult as the player progresses from there.
CHANGE LOG
NEW:
- The 'E' key can now be used to enter the door as well as the ENTER key.
FIX:
- Fixed an issue where pressing P and then Spacebar caused the game to freeze and not progress any further
- Fixed an issue where Chomp would get stuck between two different directions after losing Cheeky in the corner between two solid objects.
- Fixed an issue when after spawning Chomp will rotate away to another direction even though he can see Cheeky right after Spawning
- Fixed an issue with Chomp seeing Cheeky as he moves into an off-set tile and staying in a "chasing" state.
- Fixed Chomp where he would stop rotation to move at an incorrect angle. This was possible when chasing Cheeky.
- Fixed a problem where additional lives would not display in the Winky Face count after collecting 10,000 points.
- Fixed an issue causing the treasure value to be doubled upon collected treasure.
CURRENTLY IN DEVELOPMENT:
- Reviewing feedback sent to the bug report forum on Discord
- Full version - content testing and release of areas 2-4 (levels 11-40)
- Sound and Music is now in the planning stage and will be included in a later shareware update along with any bug fixes
