An update! Yes I’m alive and finally back to working on this game!
Bounced between a few different engines over the last few months and no matter what I ended up wanting to use Go. Once I decided on Go I spent time debating between Pixel(2), ebitengine, and raylib.
Ended up going back to raylib because I can carry that knowledge over to other languages in the future, and it can be used for 3d games when I finally want to make one.
Sorry to say there are no gameplay updates in this release, and it’s currently only available on Windows for now. Having some issues doing builds for linux and mac at the moment.
High scores are back! It’s a new database that’s easier to work with and way more portable so it should be staying around basically forever now.
Future plans?
In the future I am going to spend some time getting a version of this working on an sbc handheld, probably the rg35xxsp.
