Hey friends!
It’s devlog time! Let’s start with the not-so-great news: I haven’t had much time to work on the game over the past two weeks. My regular job has been keeping me super busy lately, even after hours. Unfortunately, there’s not much I can do about it right now, it’s just the way things are.
But now, onto the good stuff!
I’ve finally learned how to animate properly! It’s a lot of extra work, but the results are so worth it. Some of you might be thinking, “Finally, some smoother animations in the future?” while others might say, “I already like what you’ve done so far!” Either way, this is a big step for me to create even better, smoother animations (mostly using it for those extra-important scenes, heh). For 0.3, I’ve completed two animations with those extra steps for the final scene.
Right now, I’m working on the scene before the final one (don’t ask why my workflow is so chaotic, lol). Most of 0.3 already got proofread and tested, which is quite nice! I just have to find the time and assemble everything, fine-tune the transitions and fix clipping and the usual stuff after I've finished that last scene I'm currently rendering.
A huge thanks for all the feedback on my last devlog, I really appreciate it. Even though I haven’t had much time to reflect on everything, I’ve decided to stick with my original plan. My main focus is wrapping up 0.3, and after that, I’ll shift gears to release the game on additional platforms and give the banner/icons a fresh new look, before I focus on a smaller 0.4 version!
