Hey,
right now I'm working on another project which I plan to release in the first half of 2025 but on the side I started in December to tinker with Fight in the Arena.
The small update grew and grew and I thought about releasing it for the second anniversary of Fight in the Arena (20th February) but I think it is ready to be released and why wait? The 1.2.0 update fixes several bugs, improves the wording and adds an Easy Mode.
Since the game doesn't really explain things, and you are forced to replay big sections when you die, and there is no meta progression system which eases things over time (like in A Legionary's Life), I thought it would be a good idea to let people play on Easy to experience the game and to try out different builds.
You can still die on Easy but it should happen a lot more infrequent.
On the technical side of things: I switched from Godot 3.5.3 to Godot 3.6.0 and for some reason the game crashed on Windows when I started it. Not always but very often. This was fixed by switching to a 64 bit version of the game.
I hope you like it. If you found it too frustrating maybe you give it another go!
Cheers
Daniel
