A Sad Update... (cw: pet illness and death)

Hello everyone, 

I apologize for being MIA for the last few months. I have busy taking care of my kitty, Yakult, and had little time to dedicate elsewhere. For the last two years, he's been dealing with a number of chronic illnesses and issues. Unfortunately, as of today, my son, my muse, my furbaby, and my beloved cat passed away.

We woke up this morning to find him unable to stand anymore, growling and hissing in pain and no longer able to eat. His bloodwork may have showed improvement just a few days before, but it was clear that he was not doing well at all. We brought him to the vet, hoping that they would be able to stabilize him, but received news that it would be difficult for him to even survive the night in this condition. With this in mind, we decided that it was time to say goodbye. I didn't  want him to leave him to be alone if/when he left, so while everyone was home today, we decided it was time to say our goodbyes.

 He went quietly and peacefully, surrounded by his humans and brother, slow blinking at us once last time as he did. I suppose that's the best I could have hoped for.

I now sit next to him- who is laying peacefully surrounded by flowers and treats and offerings, breaking this news to all of you. He was a lovely cat, if perhaps a little mischievous and naughty sometimes. He'd pee on my things when he's mad at me,  and he slept, snuggling up next to me, purring  with his paws on my legs every night. He'd lean into my hand when I patted him (and especially loved chin and  nose scritches) . He loved sitting in little woven baskets, and watching the birds and insects from the screen doors. Despite the pain, he'd always try to eat after he's seen me cry with worry. I'll miss him every day, I'll miss his unending purrs and his little mews. I'll miss the feeling of his fur in my hands, and I loved him.

I loved him very, very, much.

Thank you to everyone who have played this game and shared stories of your own experiences. I may not have replied to everyone, and I'm sorry I have not been able to do so, but know that I've read every single one of your comments. Thank you to everyone who donated as well, it wasn't easy getting him all the food and medication he needed, I am eternally grateful for all the support and love you've given me, my cat, and this game. 

I no longer need the money for his food or meds, so I will be making the OST, SFX and image pack free, in addition to including more of his pics, as well as what little sounds I have recorded of him in hopes that you'll remember him, I suppose. 

I realize, they are by all means, not exactly pretty pictures (most of the time), and there's no way pictures can encasulate what he was like and how big of a part he's played in my life, but I hope you'll find him endearing and loveable nonetheless, and keep him in your mind even for a little bit.
