We meet again for the release of a new prototype: Big Hunt Endless Edition!
Since September we have been looking at the "Rogue" aspect of the game. For that we focused this prototype on a rapid chaining of levels and the addition of stats and perks to modify them.
It is quite different from the old prototype both in terms of structure and content so the latter remains available!
The Hunter now has 7 stats:
There are 28 perks divided into 3 different families:
For this version we focused on Flies and Worms. But don't worry, Turrets, Slimes, Dragons (and new ones also...) will be back for your enjoyment!
We were told at Gamescom that it would be cool if worms had scales... It's done. It's also a good way to highlight the penetration statistic!
Flies have also been reworked, there are more variations of the different types to offer diversity and new challenges as we progress through the levels!
Since this prototype is focused on experimenting with statistical progression and enemies, it presents itself as an endless mode: a succession of random levels interspersed with special rooms.
You will find 12 exclusive levels! We discovered that we could wall-slide ceilings at 25°+ if we are not too heavy so do not hesitate to do it (the famous “not a bug, a feature”).
To finish a little preview of new rooms:
