Major UI and Pace of Play Updates

Beacon's Edge

Tomorrow is the one weekiversary of Beacon's Edge launch. We're on track to break 7000 views and 4000 plays by end of today

I wanted to meet the communities engagement and excitement in the middle by converting your feedback into changes and improvements for the game. If you've left a comment here or provided feedback on the reddit thread, THANK YOU! 

The latest version of Beacon's Edge was molded by your feedback.

So, what's this big update all about? You're experience.  

Fixes / Changes

  • Journal: 
    • Moves game stats off of moon hover and into the scavenger journal. (death to tooltips)
    • Scavenger journal will  now be available at the start of the game. 
    • Keep an eye on the journal as you play and discover late game materials, your character might leave journal entries for you. 
  • Merchant Ship (trading):
    •  There was a lot of feedback indicating that the RNG could be punishing and to draw out the mid to late game.
    • This feature is meant to restore player agency as well as improve pace of play.
    • Every 2 minutes the ship will appear, and offer a 30 second window to make common and uncommon offerings in exchange for epic materials. 

These updates are fresh, and may need some tweaking and minor bug fixing.  If you encounter any bugs or have feedback, please let me know and I'll address ASAP.
