Hello everyone,
I’m excited to share a brand new update for The Librarian! This version brings significant improvements to both gameplay depth and overall experience, making the game more immersive and engaging. Here’s what’s new:
🆕 What’s New?
• Save and Load Progress: You can now save your game and load progress across multiple slots, making it easier to continue your adventure at your own pace.
• Narrative Expansion: The game now features contextual storytelling between each level, delivered through personal letters sent to the main character. These missives reveal more about Théobald’s background and his journey.
• Level Briefings: Before starting a level, a new briefing screen summarizes the upcoming challenges, which requests can be made, and how to fulfill them.
• Difficulty Rebalance: The early levels have been adjusted for a smoother learning curve while keeping the challenge engaging as you progress.
• Visual Overhaul: The first two levels have been visually redesigned for a more polished and pleasant experience.
• Living World: In each level, you can now see customers approach the counter, make their requests, wait, and return to collect their books once ready.
• Controller Support: The Librarian now fully supports Xbox and PS5 controllers, making the experience even smoother for gamepad players.
🛠️ Fixes and Improvements:
• Input Fixes: Resolved several input bugs that could cause unintended level restarts in certain situations.
