We’re back with another round of updates to Requiem (1998), refining both enemy behavior and combat mechanics to create an even more immersive and challenging experience.
The Heretic has become even deadlier. I've enhanced their ability to detect the player, making the mini-boss encounter more intense and less forgiving. Their heightened awareness will keep you on your toes—stay sharp, and use your surroundings wisely to avoid their relentless pursuit.
Combat in Requiem just got a lot smoother. We’ve removed the temporary movement delay after firing guns, allowing you to stay agile in the heat of battle. Now, you can fire off shots and reposition quickly, adding a new layer of fluidity to your survival strategy.
For those tense moments in fixed camera angle mode, we’ve added the ability to perform melee kicks while holding a gun. This quick close-range attack offers an extra layer of defense when enemies get too close for comfort—perfect for breaking free from dangerous situations.
These changes are designed to make combat more dynamic and engaging, while ensuring that The Heretic remains a truly formidable foe. As always, we look forward to hearing your thoughts on these updates. Let us know how these tweaks affect your journey through Gravemire!
Stay safe out there, and keep fighting the good fight.
