Planetfall

Ahhh, Infocom <3 And for me, Planetfall in particular.

I remember buying Planetfall for my Atari ST. When I first saw the game in the store, it was the sci-fi setting and the cover art that sold it to me. I had no idea it was a text-only game, so 8th grade me was pretty disappointed and confused at first. But once I started learning how to play the game, I was totally immersed. The setting, the mix of darkness and humor, the discovery that you might not be alone... and of course, the song! It became an unforgettable experience.

I do have the entire Infocom collection on a CD-ROM somewhere. I should definitely replay some of these as part of the Love in Space production—going back to the roots, you know.
