Hello War Gamers!
This is it, the updates I've been working on for several weeks now. I have been laying the ground work over the last few updates for new units and they are finally here!
First, we have the fearsome Machine Gun Team. Using the same Machine Gun found on Tanks, but providing it to an Infantry Squad. They are the ultimate defensive unit; slow to move and with limited models, in exchange for much longer range and cheaper overall unit cost. I expect these to be the default go-to squad, if it wasn't for...
Mortar Teams! Another Squad unit, but this one is focused on raining death from above. Mortar Teams can strike anywhere on the battlefield with weapons that are equally effective against both Vehicles and Squads. Like the Machine Gun team, they are slower and with fewer models than a Rifle Squad, but I expect them to be an auto-include in most lists.
But that's not all! I have gone back and revamped the Mech models for both the Pact and Coalition significantly. They still use commonly-available and inexpensive parts, but they now look much more advanced. I have also tweaked the Tank designs to allow for future updates.
Lastly, I have simplified the game setup. Now, the default game board is exactly six standard Lego baseplates. So if you have some lying around, you can quickly and easily setup a battle with no measuring needed!
