Release: Preview 1.3 - Balancing (and bug fixes)
No crashes reported this time, so that's good! I've begun work on Air spells and content but those aren't in the release yet. I probably will wait until I've got about the same amount of spells finished for it as the other Arcana already have.
Spell Changes
- Splash, Extinguish Flame, and Dry are now charge-based instead of cooldown based
- Increased damage of Extinguish Flame and Dry to be in line with Decay
- Reduced cooldown of Quick Swim
- Summon Focus perk now properly applies extra HP and damage to zombies created by Raise Dead (was previously only applying it on EXTRA damage/HP given over zombie base)
- Absorb Flame can now be used on friendly Fire creatures. This instantly destroys them and restores a spell charge
- Fueled by Flame can be upgraded so that the boost can stack multiple times
Map Changes
- Walls on level 2+ in wizard's towers are now able to be damaged.
- Art gallery rooms no longer generate in wizard's towers.
- Decreased the amount of cash generated in chests (particularly dorm chests)
- The number of items you find in chests at higher levels increases more slowly
- (I'll probably be redoing the way chests generate their items entirely at some point, but need to devote some more time to it)
NPC Behavior Changes
- Creatures that deal elemental damage won't continue to attack targets that are immune to or healed by that damage. Also, creatures that are too weak to damage a creature do to armor also won't continue to fruitlessly attack them.
Non-Crash Bug Fixes
- Spells now respect max charge increases given by perks (or anything else)
- The previous update broke accepting missions from non-faction based stores, this is now re-fixed (ie the Find Rare Book mission)
- Deathly Harvest upgrade to Sacrfice Corpse now works and no longer throws an error
- Fixed issue in creature spawn code that was causing most enemies to stop spawning at higher levels
- Fixed bug that was causing screen to black out when examining an item that grant spells on equip
- Fixed error that was thrown when splitting item stacks, or picking up items in a big enough stack they needed to be split
- You can actually study recipes to learn the recipe contained now (I know this is a pretty inefficient use of time right now, will be coming back to it later)
