AND Development Update, January 2025
Hey Everyone!
Welcome to 2025! We hope you have all had an opportunity to sit back, and relax over the holiday period! We have taken our time off quite seriously, catching up on games and spending time with family that have been sorely missed. Over the period, we've had many chats about the VN and the story, and where Retsu and the men in his life are going. We'd like to make you aware that we are going to be making some changes.
When AND was first imagined, we started with a very straight forward, select a guy and date focused layout. This has proved to be limiting to story ideas, and what we can accomplish in each update. Rather than limiting the things that Retsu experiences, we will change to a version based update system, and work hard to maximise the content in the updates. We want Retsu to have realistic college experiences and build out his history a bit better for first time readers as well. Rest assured though, the Patrons and the general flow of who will have content updates will stay the same, and we will stick to the current Patreon poll results. The basis of the routes that we have already released will stay the same, and you will still find the content that you know and love. Some of the base story will also be changing to accommodate some over all changes, and we will also be spending some time bringing the layouts of the menus up to a current standard to meet your expectations.
We feel that this is the right time to do some house cleaning, and clean up some loose ends in our story. By doing it now, it will help us continue forward rather than working backwards as we go. In saying this, we have decided to delay Roberto's update until the end of March, and we will release both the changes to the core story, and Roberto's next day at this time. At this time as well, we will be releasing the new logo and updated name for our team, Team Maplestone instead of the Polarwolf Team. We hope that you will stay up to date with us on our social channels, stop by the AND Discord to say hello, and help us move forward with our story in a new and exciting way.
