After evaluating various options, I have found a Car Controller that offers the features and flexibility needed for the project. However, integrating this controller requires upgrading the project from Unity 2019 to Unity 6—a step that would cause compatibility issues with existing scripts.
Given that the game is still in the concept phase, I have decided to remake the project in Unity 6 to ensure long-term scalability and access to newer tools. Version 0.4 will be developed in Unity 6, featuring a medium-sized update.
To safeguard progress, I’ve created backups of the original project. If the transition proves unsuccessful, I will revert to the previous version without significant losses. However, if successful, the Car model will need to be replaced due to compatibility limitations with the new system.
If I don't find a suitable Car Model that aligns with the project’s requirements, I might explore creating a custom car model from scratch.
Regarding the other updates that is well on the way,
With Unity 6, It will be easier to do the following:
This upgrade will bring the project closer to its original vision!
Lastly, this shift might mark the end of "Blu," the current Car model, as part of this evolution. More updates to follow as development progresses.
