Developing Lukestria Family has been a big challenge because my current engine isn’t ideal for visual novels. I used to think VN development was simple, just add text over an image, but I couldn’t have been more wrong. It’s much harder than it looks, with the workload split as follows: 10% on images, 20% on coding, and 70% on writing.
While this has been a fantastic learning experience, it’s been quite demanding. Will I create another VN after LUFA? Probably not. I’ll stick to my signature style, blending RPG gameplay with interactive story moments, special events, and dungeon exploration.
LUFA’s story is intentionally slow-paced to immerse players unfamiliar with mafia themes. However, future updates will bring more action, gameplay, and faster storytelling.
