STL 3.0.0.6 - New Land: Fidelio
Whats been added:
- Added new map - Fidelio
- Added velocity smoothing, dampened acceleration, and more air control when moving left to right while jumping
- Added green first-person arms
- Added basic account functionality & migration, hidden from user for now, but for upcoming updates
Whats been fixed:
- Fixed Trippies doing weird glitchy fly teleport when they respawn. This bug is as old as STL1 and is finally resolved
- Removed buggy jump/land motion sways
- Removed “stamina cooldown” time period after your meter empties. Stamina is always usable now, so long as you have some
Known Issues:
- Billboard effect not working in WebGL. Images get stuck scrolling. LED screens don’t display properly
- Movement still doesn’t feel entirely fluid - velocities when trying to strafe don’t feel so good. We have a few fixes we are working on to evolve movement more in the next updates
- Map has holes in it; players can get stuck in bushes
- Conflicting Z-Depth on some parts of map such as windows, causing weird flickering in WebGL
- Spawn points happen predictably and in order, allowing for camping on respawns
New Map: Fidelio
Welcome to Fidelio - the first main map of STL3. This map features a core town square area that is dense in both spawn points and pharmas.
Live Billboards
We’ve created a custom shader for the billboard effect, enabling dynamic content that can be easily reused for in-game signage.
Upclose Advertisements
Advertisements: here are the details of the advertisements on the new billboards. My personal favorite is Guava’s Grind… for no particular reason ;)
New Burger Joint
A$AP Satoshi has launched Trip-Fil-A, a new burger joint that brings a fresh culinary experience to STL. Tasty burger… mmm.
First Person View
We’ve introduced green arms in the first-person view to give a fresh look from the previous betas. We also want to include first-person views in each of our dev logs to track and appreciate the game’s visual evolution over time.
