How are you doing?? Wanted to share something before the New Year so you know I'm still alive!
Love Inn passed 1000 wishlists on Steam a couple days ago, which is incredible to me, moreso since I haven't posted anything about the game for so long! I still get nervous when I think about people caring about this.
Learned some things like loading every scenario at the start of the game, when the intros are playing, so the game doesn't have to load and erase constantly everytime you move around. I knew the theory, but never really questioned how and what to preload. This lead to me being more ambitious with single scenarios, since before I tried to have every scenario fit inside the screen.
I played a bunch of Rune Factory 4 (I played a ton of Rune Factory in the DS days, my first farming games), and took some things from it. There's a minimap now (which will be prettier and more useful in the future). Also some better previews when placing stuff around.
A lot of work this past month was basically making the base levels, and remaking them, and remaking them once more. Lots of iterating, but always for the better. This holidays I was hoping I would advance a bit more on the texturing of this place, but I always underestimate how many gatherings of family and friends there are. But still wanted to share.
Google Streetview is basically my most visited page nowadays, I spend so much time moving around for inspiration, loving it.

Now the ryokan is a single place on the game, just to avoid all the loading screens. Things like the kitchen and shared living room, are moved to another annexed building.
Also, I'm been more persistent on learning japanese, which in turn is helping a lot to research info for the game.
