I hope everyone had a nice Christmas and a few relaxing days!
To avoid being able to create one big monster with all abilities, each monster now has stats based on its types. For example, a bat will have higher dexterity than a two-headed giant. Abilities now scale based on these stats. Some abilities like apply poison require at least one point in poison to even work.
The 8 stats are: Strength, Dexterity, Mass, Intellect, Corruption, Holy, Poison, and Fire.
I don’t want to spoil too much. The monster types also affect the merging now. There are certain combinations like undead + knight = death knight that allow the resulting monster to have stats from both types, plus some boost. So have fun experimenting and finding all the combinations!
At the end of the level, you now have a choice of which next level you want to go to. This adds another layer of depth to the game. This way you can choose the level that would be more useful for your current build.
