The Audience Update! v 0.6 Release!
0.6! The Audience Update
Hey everyone! I’m back with another news update! Progress has been a little slow because a lot of my coworkers have been going on vacation lately and I’ve been covering their shifts! Outside of Kazu, in “reality”, I work at a bookstore as a humble bookseller.
Ok news!
- I painted the rest of the audience! It’s huge now! Everyone wants to watch you fight!
- I added an analytic event to see if anyone uses the builtin game updater and I added another analytic event to see how many players skip over the login functionality.
- I fixed a bug in the leaderboard UI where it wasn’t correctly sorting players when ordered by Win/Loss.
- The leaderboard navigation bar now highlights which order you are viewing it in.
- I added loading text at the beginning of the game. When you start Arena, the game attempts to check the server in order see if there is a client update. If your internet was slow with V0.5 it would seem like your game was frozen! Now the game shows a helpful loading message and shows you how long you’ve been waiting.
- I shortened the game to 16 levels! This may seem a bit controversial but Arena is a hard game, especially towards the end, and I wanted to make sure people could beat it. Trust me, 16 levels is a lot more fun than 20 when things start to get really hard.
Go forth and download!!! woohoo! :D
