Not sure how to report on this devlog without massive spoilers, so I will just stay abstract, I guess...? I finished the second segment of the Final Battle Event containing a new boss fight. Those who played Metaphor may recognize the gimmick of this battle haha. Now there's "just" the large, last one remaining - the actual main confrontation with Richard.
The cut-off point is a bit weird this week. It would have made more sense to send the player into the clear room upon reaching Richard's Throne Room, but I wanted to deploy the start of the event because I felt it was unfair to a certain character who well um, well it, it felt unfair to her to not balance out what happens before with a certain other event happening here.
It makes a lot more sense when I'm not trying to avoid the big spoiler ok!!!
I will definitely also have to do a couple of editing passes once the entire Final Battle event is done. I'm quite happy with the individual events, but the transitions could still need some more work.
Anyways, that's pretty much "already" it for the week. Going to try and close out the Final Battle Event for the 0.50.0 release but as mentioned in the Project Plan post for this month, it might be tough due to family events for the Christmas Holidays interfering (mostly on 24th and 25th). From our assistant developer Trihan's side, no major progress this week.
Then, see you all next week hopefully with the Final Battle completed!
