James Riggs - Models and Textures
- Work:
- In our Game Design 3 project, I worked on doing textures and models. I wanted to make semi-futuristic stuff and sort of worn-torn textures.
- Technical:
- In this, I created the models for the SpiderBot, Futuristic Rifle, and Carbine. I UV'd the SpiderBot, Futuristic Rifle, and Carbine. Then, I made the textures for the FlyBot, SpiderBot, Futuristic Rifle, and Carbine. Again going for a scuffed robot texture.
- Learned:
- Throughout working on this project I learned how to keep similar textures through the robots and weapons. I also furthered my texturing experience which I'm not that great at. I also think my best work is the texture on the 2 robots that I did.
- Achievements:
- Making the SpiderBot and its textures were probably my best-looking stuff and I think it came out well.
- Surprise:
- The most surprising thing in this project was, even with almost everyone in the same room, how important it is to keep communication flowing smoothly.
- Not My Work:
- I didn't model or UV the FlyBot (the two-armed robot without legs).
