Merry meet, friends. Today's news is as follows.
Famed Treasure Hunter Missing
Midlarian treasure seeker Helma Winterfaun hasn't been seen in a month, leading many to believe she has perished on an expedition to Thallow Hills.
Winterfaun was due to meet with Tasran Osraven, Merchant Prince of Midlar, not one week ago but failed to show to what could have been a lucrative meeting for the treasure hunter.
A scouting party from the city led by Ethelmay Rose have reported shadowkin in the area of Thallow Hills, including wandering bands of Xants who have taken over an ancient tower.
Night War Blade Goes on Display in Gorlion
The famed sword Starseeker, used by Baroness Carnath in the Night War, has been displayed to the public in Gorlion's Emerald Library.
Carnath, who attended the unveiling ceremony despite her long days, played a pivotal role in driving back the forces of Wynor by slaying the Gulch Wyvern ridden by one of the traitor Baron Parsoneth's top lieutenants.
Due to its inherent power Starseeker is guarded night and day.
Thund to Become First Dwarrim Baron
Dwarrim hero Thund Mosswind is to become the first Dwarrim Baron after Melia Snave of Wynor died three weeks ago.
In a move that has proven controversial for some barons, Thund will be given the title of Baron Protector of Wynor for his courageous involvement in the Night War.
Wynor was captured from the traitor Parsoneth and has since been protected by Snave, who fell ill in recent months. It was her wish that her close friend Thund would take her place.
Some are unhappy with the appointment, declaring it an affront to the role of baron who have traditionally belonged to blood nobility.
