Devlog #2

Everon
A downloadable game

Long time since an update. Had to put some personal things over my hobby but still have been making progress, just not as much as anyone would like, especially me. Most of my progress has also been towards not so exciting things to share as it is just planning, implementing, and changing existing/new features that aren't any groundbreaking mechanics, more just what I feel will fit and work best for the game.

Not making a very long devlog this time around and next devlog should have lots of exciting new stuff!

+ Figured out a way to create hundreds of different (but a little similar) rooms without having to actually design and make hundreds of unique rooms and have hundreds of unique maps with movement between and other hurtles that come with lots AND LOTS of maps. Instead I have figured a way to cut it down to only about 20% of the "needed" maps without having to actually take out planned features, maps, etc. This is mostly focused on the large apartment buildings that should all have pretty similar room set ups and will all mostly be occupied by interactable NPC's or something interactable, giving each hopefully at least a tiny bit of significance and not just a time waster.

+Figured out the armor slots that I feel best work with the game.

+Figured out the weapons slots and types that feel best.

+Have interactable experience with each NPC partially figured out (I'd say about 75%). If anyone has any suggestions on things they wish they could do with NPC's in any types of games they play please let me know! Currently I have options for both Friendly Interact and Harmful Interact.

Friendly Interact contains "Talk", "Trade", "Give Item", and "Gamble".

Harmful Interact contains "Fight", "Pickpocket", "Kidnap" (kidnap is still not implemented and still trying to figure out if really want it in as well as how to successfully implement it.), and if the character is robotic "Hack".

That's just a short amount of things that have been developed or in development. In the next few days I will post smaller information guides rather than devlogs that will explain some of these listed things in more detail, such as a weapons type guide with all their different variants and such.

Also I have come far enough along that I feel I can spend a bit of time trying to come up with a SUPER small demo just to get something that fully works out there to get as much feedback as possible on!
