Hello everyone,
this is the first dev log for Naughty Summoner, which comes along with the very first update after its release.
When we first released the 0.01 Alpha version, our goal was to get feedback for the core mechanic of the game, which is the summoning and trying out recipes. We got a lot of feedback on it and as a result, we mainly worked on this specific feature.
To make the possible recipes less shrouded, we added item types to all ingredients that help with setting some ground rules to recipes in general, which would in return minimize possible combinations. To support this visually, we added a color scheme for the types and show these colors in various places in the UI.
We hope this will now make testing less frustrating.
Because we mainly worked on said core mechanic, though, along with some UI adjustments and tweaks, we didn't yet put any work in either the Upgrade system (the 4th button in the top bar) or tier 3 versions of the current girls. We felt that it might be obsolete to work on any content that is heavily based on the core mechanic, if the core mechanic is not yet finalized.
As a little compensation though, we added a whole new girl to the list of possible summons, which is available with the currently exisiting items, which is also our first step into items being used for multiple summonings.
We hope you like this new version and we're looking forward to your feedback.
