Adventure Of A Humble Lad (Working Title)
A browser adventure made in HTML5

A bare bones working demo of the project, playable, largely without game breaking bugs.  I'd love to have some help developing a story to take this in a cool direction.
At the moment you are a young lad, thirsty for adventure, set in a time perhaps 150 years ago.  It is point and click, and the current goal for chapter 1 is to make it to the world map (which is where the game will crash out as there is nothing written for it yet)
Sound crap?  It is, but it represents a lot of pure JS learning and work on my part, and some hand drawn animations and backgrounds, as well as some AI ones (credit to my mum for the hand-drawn asset!)

Think Day Of The Tentacle or Monkey Island and you will know how to play.

Give it a try, give feedback, please do that!  And also give some ideas where we can take the story once he escapes town and reaches the map and the wider world, and have a say in the creation of the story!

Runs in the browser directly. Enjoy the working demo, which shows the game engine, built from scratch, and some concepts I have learned along the way, such as localization, pathfinding, basic character animation, inventory mechanic, canvas interaction, dialogue mechanic, basic storyline, puzzle dependency planning etc etc.
