Bringing Mawkey to Life: Reflections and Progress

It’s been nearly two years of hard work, passion, and creativity, bringing Mawkey The Last Macaw to life. This game is deeply inspired by the vibrant culture, landscapes, and wildlife of my home country, Honduras. From lush jungles to the rich Mayan heritage, I’ve poured elements of my roots into this project, blending them with the gameplay magic that iconic titles like Super Mario and Donkey Kong Country offer.

But Mawkey is more than just a game—it’s a mission. Through this project, I aim to raise awareness and contribute to the protection of animals in Honduras and the United Kingdom. It’s a heartfelt effort to give back to the creatures that inspired Mawkey’s journey.
