Hey everyone!
We’re excited to roll out the latest update to Portrait! After gathering valuable feedback, We’ve worked on refining the game’s core elements and adding new features to make your experience even more immersive and enjoyable. Here’s what’s new:
Every puzzle is now fully interactive, allowing players to click on objects and clues to solve them. This change not only makes gameplay more intuitive but also enhances the flow and feel of each puzzle interaction.
Sound plays a huge role in creating an engaging experience, so I’ve added sound effects for various interactions. You’ll now hear distinct sounds when:
These sounds bring each interaction to life and help guide you through the gameplay intuitively.
With the addition of a main menu, pause menu, and end game menu, you can now navigate the game smoothly and easily pick up where you left off. The new menus add a polished feel and give you control over your play sessions.
To deepen the narrative, We’ve introduced two new character sprites. Each brings added personality and story elements to the game, making the experience feel richer and more immersive.
To focus on delivering a complete and polished experience, Portrait is now downscaled to one detailed level. This allows for a more cohesive story and puzzle design, keeping you engaged from start to finish.
With this update, Portrait is now fully playable from beginning to end. All puzzles, interactions, and story elements are in place, so you can complete the game and enjoy the full narrative arc.
Thank you to everyone for your feedback and support! I’m thrilled to bring you these updates, and I hope they make Portrait even more enjoyable. Keep sharing your thoughts—it’s your feedback that drives each improvement.
Happy gaming and puzzle-solving! 🧩
