Dev Diary #12 - YARRRR

Ahoy!

Let's dive head-first into the upcoming update coming to Zoomies Cat Racing!

New Track - Pirate Island

Introducing Pirate Island; a new technical track coming in the next update. This track sees the cats fly through a beachfront shanty town, through a dark cave and into a more upscale, south-American-esque town inhabited by nefarious pirates, before finally sprinting downhill whilst avoiding wrecked boats and debris back to the starting straight.

Pirate Island will be the final track to be added to the game.

New Feature - Race Control

As well as having a new look, the Track Selection menu also includes a new suite of settings; Race Control.

Race Control houses some options related to the race you are about to take part in. The settings included in the next update are:

• Difficulty: Fairly simple to understand. Affects the difficulty of the AI cats. This option is also present in the Settings menu.
• AI Count: Can be set to a number from 0 and 100. This option controls how many AI cats you are racing against. Just be careful as playing with more than the default (5) is not recommended as it can cause issues with the UI, performance, etc.
• Boost Strength: This option controls how powerful the boostpads are in-game. This can be set from 0.5x to 2x.

More Race Control settings will be added later.
