Build Versions, UI Updates & More
We march day by day closer to a vert slice! Today's updates:
- Probe now has a status indicator in the top right of the screen
- This caused heaps of bugs in WebGL that are utterly unexplainable, so it doesn't fade on or off so for now it's just 'on' (sorry)
- And so begins the beginning of 'tech debt'
- Camera controls are now controlled via mouse wheel rather than button, and you can rotate with middle mouse + left/right movement
- It's first pass but works fairly well. Although I've noticed that rotating the scene honestly offers nothing, but if players want to rotate, let them rotate
- Added an extra zoom level
- The textbox for daily updates in the splash is larger to accomodate more changes
- The splash screen art has been revised, again, it's just placeholder but it's prettier than what was there
- Fix for XP bar filling up on death
I've also just kicked off a discord server, since a couple of people are playing it each day and I'd like to see more feedback. Ultimately, the appeal of this genre of the game will sit within a specific demographic, but feedback is always valued when it comes to game design!
The more I mull over the next features to roll in, the more I realise I'm basically making a realtime version of x-com with PvE moba vibes. I'm okay with that :)
