A Guide to Sutton #25 - Random Events from v0.11

The following post may contain spoilers for certain story elements of Stuck in Sutton.

v0.11 added 5 random events that the player can encounter.

• Noisy Neighbors (Hotel Room)

Randomly, you may hear a couple being intimate. This will increase Stress by 10-15 (5-12 if you have the "Cat Palm" or "Love Heart" tattoo). If Annabell is staying with you, she'll gain + 4-6 Sluttiness.

• Free Shots (McCall's Bar)

A man will offer up free shots at McCall's Bar. Each shot will reduce Stress by 25 and temporarily increase Sluttiness by 2-3. You can take two shots from this event. You can also choose to hook up with the man if you wish. 

• Stick Up (Truck Stop Shop)

At the shop, there is a chance the shop will be robbed. This will initially increase your stress by 40-50 (33-45 with either the "Cat Palm" or "Thug Life" Tattoo). You'll have three options, escape, intervene, or steal something.

If you choose to escape, you will get away with no issue.

If you choose to intervene, you can either attempt to wrestle the gun away from the robber, or if you have over 50 Sluttiness, you can flash your boobs. If you flash him, the clerk will subdue him and you will be rewarded with some random items from the store, including a guarantee of at least 2 Food and 6 Beers. If you attempt to wrestle the gun away, you'll have a 50/50 chance of subduing the robber or being shot and killed.

Finally, if you choose to steal, you'll have a random chance to pick from the following items:

• 6 Pack of Beer (10% Chance)
• One Beer (30% Chance)
• Recovery Drink (60% Chance)
• Food (80% Chance)
• Wetwipes (always can be taken)

If you pick an item, you will steal it, in addition to gaining 10-15 stress (3-10 if Tattoo is "Cat Palm" or "Thug Life") and 10-30 Notoriety (3 - 25 Notoriety with "Thug Life" tattoo).

• Stripper in Need (Pink Lounge Strip Club)

You may encounter a stripper outside of the Pink Lounge Strip Club who may want to talk to you. One of two things can happen.

First, she can offer you some drugs for sale. These drugs will be sold at a bit of a discount, although you'll only be able to buy one of each.

She also may ask for some money. You can opt to say no, which will end the encounter. You can also ask how much she needs, which will be between $10-50. Paying her will reduce Stress by the amount paid and Notoriety by 5-10.

Finally, you can ask if she has any drugs or if she's willing to 'go somewhere quiet' with you. If you ask the later, she may or may not offer up sexual services for you to pay for. This will cost you some money, 1 energy, but will reduce your Stress and boost your Sluttiness depending on the act.

• Fingering will cost between $10-20. You will reduce Stress by 14-28 (18-35 with "Love Heart" or "Cat Palm" tattoo), and increase Sluttiness by 7-14.
• Pussy Eating will cost between $25-50. You will reduce your Stress by 25-35 (29-42 with "Love Heart" or "Cat Palm" tattoo), and increase Sluttiness by 9-16.
• Scissoring will cost between $50-100. You will reduce your Stress by 35-50 (45-67 with "Love Heart" or "Cat Palm" tattoo), and increase Sluttiness by 12-20.

• LARPers (Park)

At the park, you can encounter a group of LARPers. They will allow you to join in their battle at the cost of 1 energy (pending a patch. As of v0.11a this is free of an energy cost). This event has a lot of randomization so I'll just summarise a few points.

• You can select between three weapons: Sword and Shield, Axe, or Spear. The Sword and Shield grants you higher defense. The Axe deals the most damage. The Spear has a higher hit chance when attacking.
• There will be a hint of each opponent's weakness so pay attention.
• You can drink beer or recovery potions when prompted to regain 'health'. Drinking beer will make you perform worse.

If you succeed, you will reduce your Stress to 0 and have the option to take a Recovery Drink or $10. Otherwise, you'll receive a reduction in stress depending on how far you got. At a minimum, you will lose 33 Stress.
