Cheesing Nachos
A downloadable game for Windows and macOS

Hello! I have made quite some progress since I last posted!

Not Posting Yesterday

Honestly, I just wasn't feeling yesterday. The only thing I really did, was think of how I'm going to die and respawn.

Death

So, I am just going to move Dude to the spawn position when he collides with a non-cheesed nacho. I was going to try to queue_free(), instantiate to the spawn position, but like, that's hard. I also made the nachos become de-cheesed when all lives are lost, meaning the game resets. I can instantiate multiple scenes of the nacho with no problem. Except one. Movement. I made the nacho move back and forth, with a specific set of x coordinates. When I instantiate another nacho scene within the level scene, the second nacho tries to get to the other side, which it can't (cause it collides with the other nacho.) and shouldn't do. So I have to fix it. Which I will work on tomorrow.

Changing Some Things

I've decided to cut some things I want in the game. I just think it's a lot and I know you can't rush something like making a game. I have said before (al least I think I have) that I just want a decent functioning game by end of the month. I can always add on to it. So, I don't think I'm going to have multiple levels, a tileset, and some other things I can't really think of. You're just going into the game, cheesing the nachos, and win and whatever. Again, I just want to finish a game. I think I'll be more comfortable with a bigger scale project if I have already finished one. I also think I should increase my knowledge on Godot given I really don't know how to use all it's features and stuff. Even though I do plan to have GameMaker as my main engine, I think Godot is a good thing to have under my belt. As well as increasing my general knowledge on programming and related topics.

Thank you for reading and if you have any feedback I'd love to hear it! Have a good day (or night)!
