Before heading out to test the Twine prototype of our game, I created a short survey for players to fill out after their session. Many of the questions were related to the game’s narrative, but others focused on different aspects of the mechanics as well as the player’s prior experience with this genre of game and story. Combined, our group gathered ten survey responses from playtesters.
After reviewing the feedback from our playtest sessions, I began making some revisions to the existing script. Most of these changes were related to dialogue. I also wrote a new opening scene. Afterwards, I began working on the second part of the script. This was a bit of a struggle. I jotted down several ideas in both our worldbuilding document and macro sheet, but not many of them seemed to stick. In an effort to regain my momentum, I began writing a slower-paced transitional scene to lead into the story's second part.
