Hello there.
Welcome to Skye's Repose. An exploration/farm-sim game set in the Garden of Skye, strange floating islands hidden away within another world.
I finally have a demo that I'm not just begrudgingly accepting of other people playing, but excited to let you all try it out and play around!
I refuse to elaborate on the issues I've already found making me want to update it again. But for future updates and dev logs, please follow me here on Itch or join my Newsletter!
There's a lot to discuss about what's new and what's changed, but I think rather than making you wade through months of changelogs and piece together what is or isn't included, I'm going to start from scratch with new release notes.
I'll start with the quick highlights:
I'll go a bit more in-depth on the first one here today, and I'll expand on the others more in future posts. (As mentioned, Newsletter!)
Throughout Skye are large floating islands isolated from eachother and it's not easy to reach a new island. The islands hold ancient ruins, and ruins left behind by the Mages who came before, either crafted while they were stuck here or brought in when they first entered the Garden of Skye themselves.
There are now three main playable islands, the peaceful beach-side ranch, the hot and arid desert, and the serene, mysterious forest.
The three main islands are fully playable with unique farmable crops, resources you can gather up, elementals you can gather, and secrets to uncover.
In addition, there are two islands you can explore and find a few more secrets upon, although they don't have any resources to gather. The ruin-filled lakeside forest, and the volcanic caves are unfinished, but still house secrets worth uncovering. Clues to secrets hidden on the main three islands.
There's plenty to see and find while exploring, and the environments are beautiful and well worth exploring, you're sure to find something new and interesting looking if you look around! And who knows, in the future there may be even more islands to explore.
