Chess Arena 1.1 Update!

Chess Arena Alpha 1.1 update is here!

This update includes new features, a new piece, and other quality of life improvements.

New guns:

With the new update comes the introduction of new weapons. These new weapons include the Assault Rifle, Shotgun, Sniper, Sword, and the classic Pistol. Each piece has the choice between 3 of the 5 total weapons.

New piece, Falconer:

The new Falconer piece is recon class. His abilities include:

Idle: Your falcon will slowly rotate around you.

Special: Send forward your falcon. If your falcon spots an enemy it will follow the enemy for a duration.

New maps:

The new maps are Courtyard and Garden

The Courtyard map contains 4 citizens that walk around the map. When shot, citizens will run away quickly and display a small sight range around them for both players.

QoL improvements:

• Added a pause menu in match (access by pressing Escape key)
• Pause menu allows you access settings and exit back to the main menu
• Notification now appears when your opponent has disconnected from the match
• Added a reconnect button to server browser if your computer cannot connect to other devices

Next Update:

The next update should include a new defender piece (Thief) and a new unique weapon (throwing knives)!
