V0.2 Released -- dash revamped
Hello everyone,
Today v0.2 is available for download an it comes with a lot of changes, some of them are significant. The patch notes are below.
Major changes:
- The dash cooldown has been removed. You can dash immediately after finishing a previous dash.
- There are two types of dash; quick and charged. Charged dash requires that you hold the LMB for at least 1.5 to charge the dash (indicated with a vibrating sprite and a white outline). Quick dash can be achieved by letting go of LMB before the completion of the charge.
- You're no longer invulnerable during a quick dash. Any collision with projectiles will result in death.
- Charged dash has completely invulnerability and will deflect all projectiles towards enemies.
- A new enemy type has been added -- the goblin. I'll let you discover its behavior.
- Added a new loot; the skulls. Collect them to upgrade your character. At 200 skulls your damage increase so you can 1 shot all mobs. At 400 skulls the charge dash time is reduced from 1.5s to 1.25s
- Added a main menu that allows you to properly quit the game and set audio (SFX and music) volumes.
- Added a pause menu that you can toggle with the (Esc).
Bugs and tweaks:
- Reduced the wait time between waves from 45 seconds to 30 seconds.
- Reduced the moving speed of spiders slightly
- Decreased the range of the Gogs (projectile throwing enemies)
- Touching the edges of the map (i.e. black area) will result in your death.
- Fixed an issue with tree collision shapes.
- Fixed an issue with pickups not being picked up despite them not moving anymore.
- Fixed an issue with pickups being picked up automatically on spawn without even seeing them.
Known issues:
- SFX and music volumes aren't saved and must be set every time you launch the application.
- No visual indication when the player gets the 200 or 400 skull upgrade.
- No audio indication when the player receives any upgrades.
