1.2 Build + Thank You For The 2K Downloads!

Isn’t it weird that capitalising titles makes me feel like Vince now, even though it is grammatically correct? Anyway…

Thank you all so much for the 2k downloads on Killer Chat! The overwhelming love we’ve received for the game has been insane and I can speak on behalf of myself and the dev team that it is beyond appreciated. We’ve been so shocked by the response, and so happy that all of you love Killer Chat as much as we do!

This devlog is gonna be a bit long as I have quite a bit of ground to cover, so - here we go!

We have a new 1.2 build up! The fixes include:

• A more intuitive way to get Ronin’s full name.
• General bug-fixing!
• Sprite fixes (sadly V no longer has his vogue eyeliner but Angel gets her choker back!)
• Credits scroll now for real :3

If you find bugs, fill out this BUG REPORT FORM! There are a few known bugs already:

• A weird rollback bug causing a return to the main menu.
• The save/load bug.

We’re looking into these: the save/load bug is notoriously difficult to reproduce, so if you guys who have encountered that bug could list out what you did in the game and/or send us your save files, it would be more than appreciated by our team!

How do I get Ronin’s full name?!

• My biggest tip is… You Know How He Does This? Focus on that in a particular section of the game… (after when he tells you “listen carefully and maybe you’ll hear it”.)

Why is the “Good” Ending so bad? Why is the “Bad” Ending so… good?

• Well… you are romancing a serial killer.

Will there be more updates to the game?

• Absolutely! We’re planning on an expanded post-jam version where you’ll get more content for everyone! We’re also going to release on Steam if we receive enough donations to cover the release cost ($100 USD) :D

What do you think about fanart/fanfiction/fanworks, etc?

• It’s all so welcome! If you tag me (on Twitter or Tumblr), I’ll repost what you make :3

Is there more Ronin anywhere? I miss him so much already…

• There is Gluttony Gods, which focuses on Ronin’s backstory! Be warned, however, that it is tonally far far far darker than Killer Chat and touches on a lot of dark themes, which are specified on the page itself. Ronin is played by the same VA, Jett Barker!
