In-game Changes
- Experimented with river spline generation, which automates the generation of the river map.
- Implemented river collider generation to streamline map creation in the future.
- Implemented NPCs that follow the river's path.
- Experimented "stealth" mechanism with NPCs. The salmon will enter "stealth" state when hidden among a bunch of NPCs.
- Implemented fish tilting according to the travel direction, making the movement feel more realistic and lively.
- Implemented camera culling where objects blocking between the camera and the salmon will be partially transparent.
- Integrated various music and sfx into the game (see assets below for details).
- Fixed gamepad input for the new control scheme.
- Fixed the issue where stream force is applied in air.
Asset Development
- Created music assets for Stage 1, 2, and 3.
- Added sfx looping ambience sound for above water and underwater.
- Added sfx for the bear, salmon, and osprey with variations.
- Created concept arts for characters and levels.
- Created model for the salmon (player).
