The ABQ 2.0 update is out!
You waited a whole month for a small game ? Well you are in luck cuz the update is out and the game is better than ever!
Using Godot 4.3 not only helped a lot, but it also pushed me to go even further beyond and to make this game as great as I ever could!
Now I completely forgot to do a changelog along the way, but the game is much better, with a new area, dialogs, actual story telling, replay ability, and unlockable items ! I hope you love it!
I don't plan on adding more, but bug fixing and making the game more accessible is definitely on the list.
The game still isn't perfect, heavy lag spikes when you talk to a character can happen but I believe that's Dialogic doing weird things?
Changelog (kind of):
- Added parallax background to every world
- Added decoration elements to every world
- Added Lab, new zone after completing a run that acts like a hub for the player
- Added 4 unlockable items/modifiers
- Added 5 characters to dialog with
- Added hardmode and normalmode, normalmode being now the default and much easier and fair version of the game.
- Added a true ending (can be obtained after completing a true 100 run, that means no hit, all secrets, and under 15-20 minutes depending on the games mode)
- Added hardmode attack for King Slime
- Added better animations for Fallen Lord
- Added Darkness Incarnate animation to signal attacks
- Added sound effects for opening the chest, King Slime summoning a slime, and a easter egg sound effect
- Changed Slimy Plains layout to make it more speedrunable
- Changed Ash Volcano layout to make it less punishing
- Changed Slimes hitbox to make them less rigged
Have fun playing !
