Custom Assets, UI, and Sound
In this update, we added custom assets, UI, particle effects, and audio. Before we get into the changes, here is a list of assets I used, along with the proper credit to the original creators:
A huge thank you to the creators for making amazing work accessible to the public! Other changes include:
- Updated the level layout, causing a bigger sense of separation between the two players.
- Added mystical background music to the level, setting the theme of a fantasy forest.
- Added fire and ember effects on the campfire.
- Added "firefly" effects to guide the players down the path.
- The trigger now changes colors when the player steps on it, indicating that something is happening.
- Added a sky dome with an HDRI and changed the default lighting to fit the aesthetic of the image being projected on the sky dome.
- Added lighting to guide the player along the path, as the sky is a night sky, and therefore, causes dimmer lights.
- Added custom mesh to the mushroom blueprint.
- Added mushrooms along the path, giving the player a challenge to avoid the mushrooms.
- Added custom buttons (made by me!) to the "Delete Saves Widget."
- Added a custom font to the widget.
- Added a rumble sound when the door is opening.
- Added a mystical sound to the "Next Level Area."
- Added a sign to tell players to avoid mushrooms.
