I realized that I had very little design documentation for The Cosmic Vale during its three years of development. Recognizing this as a significant oversight, I decided to gather all the progress images, old social media posts, and notes I had accumulated over time. Using Milanote, I created a comprehensive series of design documents. Milanote's structure made it easy to organize everything, almost like navigating through a book, with each board serving as a detailed chapter in the project’s story.
From that point forward, I ensured that every change, addition, or adjustment to the project was documented, helping me stay organized as the project grew in complexity. As I prepared for the project’s public release, I also began thinking about how and where players would access The Cosmic Vale. This led me to create an itch.io page, where I started transferring over key design documents into devlogs, sharing the project’s journey with the community and allowing for feedback and interaction.
